Kindergarten Teacher Takes on Big Alcohol Giant Diageo Over Harmful Advertising Practices in New Zealand

When Laurie Forde, a student, and part-time kindergarten teacher in New Zealand kept seeing the “100 days, 100 ways” alcohol advertising campaign by Smirnoff on TVNZ OnDemand she observed the problematic implication of the advertisement. Smirnoff owner Diageo is promoting to consume alcohol for 100 continuous days.
Ms. Forde filed a complaint to the Advertising Standards Association (ASA). The ASA found that the advertisement went against the guidelines.
