Young Swedes Get Hold of Alcohol Via Snapchat and Instagram

A survey commissioned by Systembolaget and conducted by C.A.N. reveals how Swedish youth between 16 to 21 years of age get hold of alcohol products. The study found that over a quarter of the surveyed youth had seen an offer on social media to buy alcohol. Those young people saw even more advertisements for alcohol, despite the existing alcohol advertising ban in Sweden.
The study reveals the threat to youth health posed by the alcohol industry using social media to target young people.
