A new study by Cancer Council Australia proves that the ‘better-for-you’ alcohol branding is just another marketing tactic by the alcohol industry. Big Alcohol attempts to promote alcohol, an unhealthy, addictive, and carcinogenic substance as healthy with this trick.

Experts have called this trend “nonsense” since the key ingredient, alcohol, causes cancer and is linked to about 200 diseases. ‘Better-for-you’ alcohol products in Australia follows the same marketing tactic to associate alcohol with health and well-being.
