Lesotho: Alcohol Taxation Becomes Development Priority Due to World Bank Advise

The Ministry of Finance of Lesotho has committed to another attempt to raise alcohol excise taxes in the country. Previous efforts have been delayed and derailed by the alcohol industry.
Now, there is an opportunity also in part due to World Bank analysis about the potential benefits of alcohol tax increases in the country.
Evidence shows that alcohol taxation is a triple win solution.
