Germany and COVID-19: Rising Alcohol Use Among Adults

Initial analysis of data mainly from the first lockdown phase in 2020 show that use of alcohol products increased among adults during COVID-19 in Germany. The products and practices of the alcohol industry during COVID-19 is increasing societal harm such as relapses of alcohol use disorder (AUD) in the country.
