UK: Communities Campaign to Raise Alcohol Tax

Communities are calling on the Chancellor of the United Kingdom (UK) to increase the alcohol duty by 2% above inflation to save lives. While Big Alcohol is opposing the measure in a bid to continue selling cheap alcohol, the case for an evidence-based alcohol tax is clear and strong – both in terms of lives that can be saved and in terms of revenue that can be generated for positive investments.
