Sri Lanka: Alcohol Tax Increases Help Government Achieve Revenue Collection Targets

The Sri Lankan government’s tax revenue target for the first quarter of 2024 exceeded expectations by Rs. 47 billion. This is following two tax increases of 20% implemented in 2023.
