The complete absence of any regulation of the alcohol industry is fueling high availability, pervasive alcohol marketing and cheap alcohol prices in Papua New Guinea. This fuels pervasive alcohol harm and a heavy burden, specifically on the youth of the country. But calls for making alcohol policy the priority it should be have emerged.
