New York State, USA: Rising Alcohol Availability Due to New Law

Alcohol to-go was at first a result of Big Alcohol’s incessant lobbying – especially during the COVID-19 crisis – to weaken state alcohol laws in New York state and across the United States. This was supposed to be a temporary measure but state governments across the country, and in New York, have been giving into Big Alcohol pressure to make these measures permanent – thus making alcohol even more widely and easily available.
