New Delhi Government Continues Making Alcohol Even More Available

The New Delhi state excise deparment reduced alcohol-free or “dry” days from 21 to 3 for this year, thus making alcohol even more available. Previously the state government reduced the legal age for alcohol use in the state making it more available for young people. Currently, most alcohol policies in India are subnational. A comprehensive national alcohol policy system is needed to protect Indian people from harms caused by the products and practices of the alcohol industry.
