Movendi members in Ghana are advancing alcohol policy advocacy. Recently the Ghana Non-Communicable Disease Alliance (GhNCD) released a situational analysis of alcohol use, harm, and policy solutions in Ghana. One of the main aims of the report is to provide critical evidence to advance efforts towards the adoption of the National Alcohol Regulations.
Meanwhile the Ghana Alcohol Policy Alliance (GhanAPA) has called on the government to take action against alcohol industry actors violating alcohol advertising laws in the country. They also call on the government to draft and adopt public health oriented alcohol laws.
