Australia Brings Back Alcohol Sachets As African Countries Get Rid of Harmful Packaging

The New South Wales government in Australia is planning to make alcohol takeaway – which was only allowed during pandemic lockdowns – permanent.
This policy change increases alcohol availability and has already led to concerning practices: some vendors have begun selling alcohol for take away in plastic bags – similar to the sachet alcohol previously sold in many African countries but now outlawed in most, due to the heavy harm these products caused to society.
