Australia: Boom of Alcohol On-Demand Delivery Fuels Rise in Alcohol Harm

In a recent incident, “Jimmy Brings Alcohol” – an alcohol delivery service owned by Endeavour Group, promising alcohol delivery within 30 minutes is being investigated for the death of one of their customers.
The easy accessibility of alcohol in Australia through online purchase and delivery is compounded by an avalanche of alcohol advertising pushing people to buy alcohol products and the changing alcohol use behaviors in the country.
Australian communities together with the Foundation for Alcohol Research and Education are calling for five common sense measures to protect citizens from the harm caused by online alcohol retail and delivery services.
