As soon as lockdown measures were announced for Greater Sydney at the end of June, 2021, Australians were bombarded with predatory pandemic alcohol marketing.
Crisis washing by the alcohol industry is a well-documented practice now. Since the beginning of COVID-19 the alcohol industry adapted quickly and started exploiting the crisis for profit maximization.
Government regulation is urgently needed to protect Australian citizens from the harm caused by predatory marketing of the alcohol industry.
