Alcohol Companies Fail to Conduct Alcohol Online Retail and Delivery Responsibly

Alcohol companies have failed to implement mandatory electronic age verification for same-day alcohol deliveries in New South Wales, Australia.
The NSW government committed to several reforms of online alcohol sale and delivery when they adopted the NSW Liquor Amendment Bill in 2020. One of the reforms was mandatory age verification for same-day alcohol deliveries. But now the government is allowing for a self-report age verification measure and a signed statement instead of the more comprehensive electronic age verification.
